When John Ryan sits at the piano, his performances are effortless, his interpretations masterful, and his repertoire extensive, spanning over 100 years of music across multiple genres.  For over 40 years, Vero Beach pianist-composer John Ryan has been a gem within Florida’s most exclusive private clubs, delivering unforgettable performances with sophistication, soul, and an unparalleled command of the piano.  An accomplished composer and songwriter as well a performing artist, his songs and compositions have been produced and performed internationally by vocal artists, bands, and orchestras.

As a pianist and vocalist, John Ryan is renowned for his captivating live performances, extensive repertoire, and versatility across multiple eras and genres of music.  Heavily influenced by Jazz & Blues, Broadway, and Classic Rock, John Ryan covers over a century of popular music made famous by legendary artists and composers.  His live performances often feature music by the composers of the ‘Great American Songbook’, and the ‘Singer-Songwriter Era’, as well as his own original compositions.

Pianist-Composer John Ryan performs a solo piano performance of original compositions for the opening reception of the Palm Beach Symphony Orchestra.

As a composer, John Ryan creates original music ranging from solo instrumental to elegant orchestral pieces. His catalog of published works include original songs, music soundtracks, and commissioned works. 
 

Panasonic Corporation commissioned John Ryan to compose and perform a musical composition, ‘Go for the Gold’, for their sponsorship of the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

Ryan’s music has been regularly featured on several HBO series and he wrote two original songs for the Australian singer, Jerin-Lei, entitled, ‘Whisper to Me’ and ‘Tricks, Lies, & Alibis’ for her album, "In the Dark".

In 2022, John Ryan was asked to compose a song for the "Day of Remembrance" that honors the fallen heroes of the NASA Space Program.  The song debuted during the Astronauts Memorial Foundation annual ceremony at the Kennedy Space Center.

The song, "Above and Beyond" highlights the sacrifice of those who put their lives on the line for space exploration and ultimately served all of humanity.  Their heroic efforts are now immortalized in a song composed by John Ryan to illuminate the great explorers that sacrificed their lives to benefit humankind.
